"When we slow down and truly embody the breath, we begin to experience it in a mindful, conscious way—allowing it to move through the body with intention and awareness. This simple shift can unlock powerful physical and emotional benefits.
The Franklin Method is a somatic approach that blends mental imagery, functional anatomy, and movement explorations to deepen body awareness. In this experiential class, we will journey through our inner anatomy to explore the diaphragm, ribcage, sternum, and surrounding organs. Through guided imagery and movement, you will discover how breath can become more spacious, efficient, and supportive.
As awareness of the breath expands, habitual tension patterns can begin to release. Movement often becomes easier, freer, and more fluid, while the nervous system settles into a greater sense of calm and clarity.
Participants will be introduced to the basic anatomy of breathing and invited to imagine and embody how these structures function together. Through simple movement practices and focused attention, we will explore the impact of diaphragmatic breathing on posture, mobility, and overall well-being.
Expect a welcoming and exploratory environment where curiosity is encouraged and subtle shifts can lead to meaningful change. You may leave feeling more grounded, spacious in your breath, and connected to the ease and intelligence already present within your body."
