About me
Chris has studied and performed West African drumming for 20 years with drum masters Issa Coulibaly, Joh Camara, Sory Diabate of Mali and Mohamed Kalifa Kamara of Guinea. He plays for numerous events throughout New England and performs widely with Ammaya Dance & Drum. Partnering with his wife Tara, Chris has helped support and develop their ensemble Ammaya Dance & Drum since its inception in 2004. Chris also drums regularly for kirtan performances and loves to play at drum jams at various festivals throughout New England.
