Sunday August 2, 2026 7:45am - 9:15am EDT
Laughter Yoga is a unique kind of mind-body exercise, which combines unconditional laughter with yogic breathing. Anyone can laugh without relying on humor, jokes or comedy. Laughter is initially simulated as a physical exercise while maintaining eye contact with others in the group and promoting childlike playfulness. In most cases this soon leads to real and contagious laughter. Science has proven that the body cannot differentiate between simulated and real laughter. Laughter Yoga is the only technique that allows adults to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought. It bypasses the intellectual systems that normally act as a brake on natural laughter.
Scientifically, it has been proven that twenty minutes of laughter is sufficient to develop full physiological and psychological benefit. Some of the proven health benefits of Laugher Yoga include: Reduced stress levels; Boosting of the immune system; Reduced pain; Elevated mood; Happy brain chemistry; Improved circulation; & Greater feelings of kindness, joy, forgiveness & love.
Laughter Yoga is an easy, fun and super-effective way to release stress while inviting more joy into one’s life. It is appropriate for children of ALL ages and all levels of fitness. No prior experience is necessary. Come see for yourself why there are over 10,000 Laughter Clubs in over 120 countries around the world!

Yin Yoga offers a profound journey into relaxation and rejuvenation. Focused on holding passive poses for extended durations, Yin targets the deep connective tissues. In this workshop, we will focus on the hips and back. This deliberate approach cultivates flexibility, releases tension, and stimulates a profound sense of well-being.
Deep stretches held for an extended period go beyond the superficial muscles, delving into the fascia and ligaments. As the body settles into each shape, the breath becomes a guide, fostering mindfulness and a tranquil connection between mind and body. The sustained postures encourage surrender, inviting practitioners to explore the edges of comfort with patience and acceptance.
The magic of Yin lies in its ability to unlock stored energy and promote the free flow of life force throughout the body. This not only alleviates physical discomfort but also nurtures a serene mental landscape.
Embrace the stillness, invite serenity into your hips and back, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and renewal through the beautiful practice of Yin Yoga.

Your Energy Tells a Story From Patterns to Alignment
Sunday August 2, 2026 10:30am - 11:45am EDT
Your body, nervous system, and energy field are constantly communicating—shaping how you feel, respond, and move through life.
In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore how patterns are formed within both the nervous system and the subtle energy body (including the chakras and energetic field), and how these patterns influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—often without conscious awareness.
Blending modern science with yogic understanding, this session offers a grounded yet expansive lens into your internal world.
Through guided practices using breath, sound, and focused awareness, you’ll begin to feel how your state shifts—and how to work with your energy more intentionally.
This is more than conceptual learning—it’s an opportunity to experience your energy in real time and begin building a more conscious relationship with it.

No prior experience needed—just curiosity and openness.

Tubing Down the Battenkill – “The Three Hour Tour”

Join a group of fellow floaters for a relaxed tubing trip down the scenic Battenkill River. This informal meetup begins at the West Mountain Inn Bridge and ends at the Covered Bridge Green, with an approximate float time of three hours.

This is a self-guided group outing—participants are responsible for their own equipment, safety, and transportation.

Bring your own tube or arrange a rental in advance from a local outfitter. The river can be slippery, so proper footwear is essential. Note there is an air compressor at the Inn to use and Stewarts Shops has air at the store.

We recommend ordering a tube from Amazon and bringing with you, it also makes a great camp chaIr especially if you have two tubes.

Let's TALK Yoga - Self Discovery to Self Mastery
Sunday August 2, 2026 2:00pm - 3:30pm EDT
"Today, at least in the Western world, yoga is seen as another exercise class to take at the gym or at a yoga studio, something that will make your muscles sore for days afterward or at least de-stress you. For thousands of years, the term “yoga” encompassed many things, First and foremost, these ancient versions of yoga were mostly spiritual practices, involving meditation and self mastery. Self-Mastery is the ability to recognize, understand, conquer, and make the most out of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self. This session will take you on a journey from self actualization to self discovery to self creation and ultimately to self mastery. "

The Art of Rest: A Katonah Yoga®️ Experience
Sunday August 2, 2026 2:30pm - 4:00pm EDT
"This Katonah Yoga®️ Restorative Masterclass offers a deeply supported, nourishing experience designed to restore the nervous system through structure, stillness, and community scaffolding.Katonah Yoga®️ blends traditional restorative principles—long-held, fully supported postures—with a unique framework rooted in Taoist philosophy, sacred geometry, and metaphor. The practice uses intelligent prop placement to reorient the body, organize energy, and create profound ease.
Expect generous use of blankets, bolsters, and blocks to support sustained postures; gentle pranayama to regulate the breath and nervous system; and imaginative metaphors that help the body and mind reorganize habitual patterns.
Class elements include:• Supported restorative postures• Breathwork with simple counting techniques• Subtle, conscious movements within stillness• Geometric alignment and metaphor• Seasonal and cyclical awareness
This practice is accessible to beginners and deeply valuable for experienced practitioners—especially those experiencing stress, burnout, or transition. The intention is not to “do” more yoga, but to receive yoga.
Come prepared to slow down, be held by the structure of the practice and the community, and leave feeling replenished, clear, and deeply restored."

Sunday August 2, 2026 3:00pm - 4:00pm EDT
"Both rousing and reflective, join this profound experience of call-and-response devotional chant led by kirtan wallah Kristen Ambrosi. Singing in community is an experience of ""communal effervescence"" where heart, voice, and spirit weave together in an incredibly moving and uplifting experience. Allow the sound current to wash over you or join in full voice; all are welcome!
KIRTAN BIO:
Appreciated for her warm presence and moving vocals, Kristen has been invited to lead kirtan at yoga studios, retreats, and home events for over 15 years. This devotional, uplifting practice of bhakti yoga – gathering interfaith groups where all voices blend into one – brings her heart home. Call-and-response mantras, and the silent stillness following the chants, elicit healing vibrational energy and a profound sense of peace. It is an honor for Kristen to guide these experiences of joy and love in community.
Following the screening of the exquisite documentary Mantra: Sounds into Silence in Montclair, NJ, Kristen collaborated with percussionist Arjun Bruggeman and others to lead a sold-out kirtan experience that was enthusiastically received.
Accompanying her respected teacher, Jillian Pransky, for her popular seasonal retreats at Kripalu, Omega, and other venues, Kristen offers live chanting to support students' meditation and restoration. She incorporates a similar live-music mantra experience into her own asana workshops and annual retreats.
Kristen welcomed the opportunity to lead a set of original music at the 2019 Lovelight Festival. She has also been privileged to sing response alongside renowned kirtan leaders such as Dave Stringer, Brenda McMorrow, Mirabai Moon, Johanna Beekman, and Scott Hari Whitmore at BlessFest, Lovelight, Ahimsa, and at Integral Yoga in NYC with her Kirtan College teacher, the late beloved Durga Das David Newman.
Kristen leads teacher training workshops on incorporating chant into classes, offers harmonium and mantra lessons for yoga instructors, and has developed original melodies for her heart-project, an album of devotional chant. "

The Responsive Core: Breath, Pelvic Floor and the Nervous System
Sunday August 2, 2026 3:00pm - 4:00pm EDT
"In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore the core not as something to brace or hold, but as a dynamic, responsive system that moves with your breath, your nervous system and your life. You’ll be guided through pelvic floor imagery, gentle movement, and sensory awareness to rediscover support that feels effortless rather than forced.Together, we’ll unravel common habits of gripping and over-engaging and replace them with coordination and ease. You’ll experience how the diaphragm, pelvic floor, and deep abdominals work in harmony. And how posture, stress, and daily habits can cause tension that can disrupt this natural rhythm. We will release tension using the Franklin Method balls and experience how we can calm the mind and relax the nervous system by using pelvic floor imagery. You’ll experience how by releasing tension, your body can organically find the right amount of postural effort and support. You can bring this new understanding into yoga, everyday movements, and moments of stress in daily life."

MORE INFO - EARTH SKY TIME

The Big Takeover is a Hudson Valley–based reggae and soul band known for their rich, horn-driven sound and infectious live energy. Fronted by Jamaican-born vocalist NeeNee Rushie, the band blends classic Jamaican styles like reggae, ska, and rocksteady with the warmth of Motown and modern pop sensibilities.
With tight arrangements, big hooks, and a deep reverence for old-school influences, their music feels both timeless and fresh—equally rooted in vintage grooves and global fusion. Whether on record or on stage, The Big Takeover delivers a vibrant, danceable sound that turns every performance into a full-band celebration.
Alma Picante is a Vermont-based salsa band bringing high-energy Latin dance music to New England stages. Rooted in classic salsa dura and salsa romántica traditions, the group features a full rhythm section, punchy horns, and vibrant percussion that lock into infectious, dance-first grooves.
Led by a mix of seasoned local musicians and Latin music specialists, Alma Picante channels the spirit of New York–style salsa while adding their own regional flavor—tight arrangements, improvisational fire, and a strong focus on live dance floor energy. Their performances are built for movement and celebration, turning any venue into a lively, percussive party.
